Congratulations “Team Footy” on a brilliant night last Thursday. Alison, Mike, Jill, Lou and Ann brought together one of our most memorable footy colours nights: Susan Alberti - an inspirational speaker, lively fellowship with 110 attendees, delicious food, plenty of fun and $2,000 for the Susan Alberti Medical Research Foundation (including $500 from the inimitable auction skills of Macca). The night certainly ticked all the boxes.
The September board meeting highlighted the projects underway in each of the club’s avenues of service – a good spread of projects large and small, local and international, financial and hands-on. A summary is attached to this Bulletin.
There are opportunities for everyone to be part of a team and to contribute their skills. We still have a role to suit you. Maybe helping with Membership (Margaret), Rotary Foundation (Irene), or Public Relations (Paul). This week’s speaker-free program provides the perfect chance to meet with the committees and discuss your participation.
For the past few years, we have attended the Rotary Club of Mitcham's Cup Day Celebration at Redbox Winery in Kangaroo Ground. The function was in support of Aquabox.
Rotarian Colin Spencer has sold the Redbox Winery so the Rotary Club of Kinglake Ranges has offered to step in. This is a a great opportunity to socialise with Rotarians from Mitcham, Nunawading and Kinglake Ranges. Family and friends are also welcome.

A fantastic night last week for the Eltham Rotary Club's Annual Footy Night. Congratulations to all involved in arrangements and of course the members who came along and bought friends and family. Thank you for your support!!
This week we have a change of pace and there is a short update on Prostate Cancer Awareness in Diamond Valley from Terry Oakley. After the meeting there will be Committee meetings. Please contact your Committee Chair for more information.

There is going to be a working bee at Mind Australia (Typo Station) on Saturday 8th October and Sunday 9th October.
Mind (Typo Station) is situated 69km south of Wangaratta. List of jobs will be available, Sat night Dinner and Sun morning breakfast and lunch will be provided BYO drinks. Beds and hot showers will be provided, bring own sleeping gear.
