This is my last week as President of the Rotary Club of Eltham. I can’t believe how quickly the year has gone, yet when completing the annual report for Changeover, I have been blown away by the amount of work that has been done during the year. More of this at Changeover on Friday but suffice to say that in a year of outstanding fundraising efforts we have clocked up record donations to both local and youth causes thanks to all the hard work of members. And that is not counting our contributions internationally to Foundation, overseas projects and of course Aquabox. Many hours have been spent by members delivering BBQs, organising and delivering festival, assembling and dispatching Aquaboxes, arranging guest speakers or special fundraising events, managing weekly meetings or following up potential new members. Then there’s all the behind the scenes work of planning, organising, administering, promoting and accounting for all that we do. Thank you especially to members of the 2017/ 2018 Board who have all worked tirelessly during the year. It has taken a whole of Club effort to achieve so much so thank you everyone for a mammoth year. We can truly say we have 'Made a Difference'.
Thank you everyone for your support throughout the year. Every year has its ups and downs but the support and fellowship I have enjoyed has meant the ride has been a very pleasurable one for me and hopefully for all members. The spirit of fun, fellowship and wanting to make a difference is alive and well in the Club and is reflected in our membership growth, our fundraising efforts and attendance at our weekly meetings. My very best wishes to 2018/19 President Jill and her new Board for a fulfilling and successful year ahead.
During the next month, the young members of the Squish Arts Collective will be holding their first exhibition at the Eltham Library (see flier below). Please drop past and admire their talents.See you all at Changeover.

This week is President Judy's last meeting before changeover on the 6 July. Come along and celebrate this milestone meeting and also to hear incoming President Jill Ramsay present Rotarian Behind the Badge. The RBTB is always a great way to find out more about one of our members and, particularly as Jill is our incoming President, an opportunity for newer members to get to know her better.
