Our grateful thanks to PP Michael Ramsay, Bruce and Marcus for their generosity in hosting an inspirational vocational visit to Lovitt Technologies last week. The sixty-four years evolution of Lovitt Tools to the now Lovitt Technologies Australia is an impressive and inspiring story. The transformation from tool making to now being Australia’s largest independent aircraft parts manufacturer is testament to the astute and intelligent business decisions that have been made by PP Mike, Bruce and Marcus in recent years. The success of Lovitt Technologies Australia, in this age of ever-increasing off-shore business ownership, just shows that the Aussies can still compete with the rest of the world. What an impressive story of achievement given what’s transpired with the automobile industry in recent years! PP Michael’s hospitality also extended to the provision of a very enjoyable meal which was greatly appreciated by Eltham Rotarians, partners and friends present. Our sincere thanks to PP Michael, Bruce and Marcus for a most enlightening and very enjoyable evening.Thank you also for donations made towards the Nepal project which were in excess of $700.

A big thank you to all the volunteers from Rotary, Rotaract, partners and family members whose tremendous efforts went into making this year's Eltham Festival such a great success. In particular, I would like to thank the Festival committee, whose months of hard work paved the way for a well organised and trouble free event: Ann Lynch (Secretary & Registrations), Dave Laws & Dennis Booth (Operations), Keith den Hartog (Registrations), Paul Kelly (Manpower), Judy Sharp (PR), Darryl Wallace (Entertainment), Mike Wetzler & Kevin Darling-Filby (Safety), Ken Paynter & Michael Maloney (Sponsorship), John O'Callaghan (Oval) & Michael Martin (Treasurer).
Once again I’m growing a ‘mo’ for Movember. This is the 8th year that I have participated in this worthwhile charity.
