Aquabox Goals (Director John Roberts)
- Implement enhanced public relations initiatives for Aquabox through the revamping of the website and Aquabox promotional video, and the targeting of clubs in neighbouring districts for presentations.
- Increase the amount of donations/fundraising from $18,000 to $40,000 excluding Hallmarc donation; and strengthen the relationship with key sponsor, Hallmarc.
- Distribute at least 240 boxes, whilst maintaining 120 boxes (108 ‘family’, 12 ‘30’) in storage for emergencies.
- Finalise the setup of pre -positioning sites in the Philippines and northern India.
Youth Services (Director Ian Toohill)
- Continue to support Rotaract and promote membership to past Interactors and others
- Promote concept of Interact Clubs conference and possibly a Club at an Eltham School. Possible support for Greensborough Club’s Interact Club at Greensborough Secondary College.
- Maintain existing programs for youth in our area.
- Strengthen the relationship with Nillumbik and Diamond Valley Learning Centre with a view to identifying a project to address youth homelessness in the area.
Public Relations (Director Sally Squires)
- Ensure club Website, the Bulletin and Facebook media are up to date and relevant and encourage members to access and use these media.
- Promote our club projects and events via any media to ensure the club gets credit for the good it does in our community
- Inform and encourage members to use our club branding so it is consistent thru all media, stationery etc
Membership (Director Jules Aussems)
- Retain existing membership and recruit and induct at least 7 new members
- Strengthen Family of Rotary, keeping in touch with members past and present, and their partners, particularly in times of need
- Bring procedures for membership recruitment, provision of RCE branded clothing and Family of Rotary up to date.
Community (Director Paul Kelly)
- Continue to support local groups such as CAVE, RSL, St Kilda Mums etc.
- Strengthen the relationship with Shire of Nillumbik with view to assisting in building projects that Rotarians could assist with.
- Continue organising the weekly Lower Eltham BBQ providing funds to support local community groups, including allowing some community groups to run their own barbeque to support their fundraising.
International (Director Rob Kilcullen)
- Continue to monitor and follow up the Hout Bay feeding program.
- Continue the attempt to establish a pathway for Aquabox into India.
- Seek board approval for RCE to be the prime driver in building a multifunctional education training facility in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Festival (Director Dale Atkins)
- Plan and deliver the 2018 annual Rotary Eltham Festival in accordance with funding and program guidelines
- Maintain budgetary restraint and improve fundraising opportunities to maximise festival returns without compromising the integrity of the festival.
- Enhance the festival through the introduction of new activities and displays, in conjunction with both community and commercial organisations.
Program and Club Service (Director Alison Cooper)
- Develop and implement a varied, topical and engaging program of speakers for the year with a focus on the theme for the 2018 – 19 Rotary year – “Be the Inspiration”
- Organise at least 2 opportunities for major fundraising events (eg. Footy night/Christmas function/film night/cancer fundraiser) and be the lead in the planning of the event.
- Ensure that Club nights are planned to be interesting, have variety, members are informed, educated, have fun elements and interaction or develop discussion amongst members on the topics presented.
Administration (Director John Skinner)
- Adopt the updated Club Rules and By Laws
- Coordinate the work of the administration team (Secretary, Sergeant, Weekly Bookings Officer, Program Director)
Foundation (Director Judy Sharp)
- Contribute to the investigation of opportunities for Rotary local and international grants
- Match 2017-18 funding to Foundation.
- Arrange one presentation to the Club about Foundation
- Coordinate the process for nomination Paul Harris Fellows
Finance (Treasurer Michael Martin)
- Oversee the financial management and operations of the club ensuring compliance with applicable law and regulations.
